LOS GALANES DE NUEVA YORK 'TRANSLATED'

Duo formed by Proano brothers: Victor (lead vocals and second guitar) and Cesar (Requinto and second voice) in 1960 participated in the famous station Gran Colombia Quito-Ecuador in "Looking for Stars" where over 100 fans attended removed weekly to 5 participants, eventually became the second creditor enshrined as true professionals.

After a while the Ecuadorian government designated the country as representatives of The Festival in Alameda Lima-Peru andalusia "Bolivariano Trio" composed by the Proano brothers and Nelson Duenas, alternating with artists the likes of Pedro Vargas, Los Angeles Negros Los Gaval Jesus Vasquez, Los Kipus, etc, etc.

In the year 1968 came to reside in New York City where he continued his artistic career with much success alternating with major artists such as: Daniel Santos, Altemir Dutra, Los Visconti, los Davalos, Pepe Jaramillo. July Jaramillo Mendoza Sisters Suasti and the majority of Ecuadorian artists making many of them musical framework.

In 1981 they won the Gold Record at a professional level and internationally at the world famous Town Hall.

Ecuadorians were the only act at Carnegie Hall in New York, and it is remarkable that the duo "Los Galanes" in New York were the first in history to record a music CD in Ecuador.

Have made presentations to various festivals in Canada and brought their music to different countries around the world including: Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada, Peru and Spain where they received the keys of the city of Malaga in Alora penalty in 1993.

This is a brief outline the long career of the Brothers Proano "Los Galanes" in New York.

"LOS GALANES" de Nueva York

Duo formado por los hermanos Proano: Victor ( Primera voz y segunda guitarra ) y Cesar ( Requinto y segunda voz ) participaron en 1960 en la conocida emisora Gran Colombia de Quito-Ecuador en el programa " Buscando Estrellas" donde participaron mas de 100 aficionados eliminados semanalmente a 5 participantes, finalmente se hicieron acreedores al segundo lugar consagrandose como verdaderos profesionales.

Luego de un tiempo el Gobierno Ecuatoriano designo como representantes de pais al Festival de La Alameda en Lima-Peru al "Trio Bolivariano" compuesto por los Hermanos Proano y Nelson Duenas, alternando con artistas de la talla de Pedro Vargas, Los Angeles Negros Los Gavalos, Jesus Vasquez, Los kipus, etc, etc.

En el ano 1968 vinieron a residir en la ciudad de Nueva York donde continuaron su carrera artistica con mucho exito alternando con grandes artistas internacionales como: Daniel Santos, Altemar dutra, Los Visconti, Los Davalos, Pepe Jaramillo. julio Jaramillo, Hnas Mendoza Suasti y la mayoria de artistas ecuatorianos haciendo a muchos de ellos el marco musical.

En el ano 1981 ganaron el Disco de Oro a nivel profesional e internacional en el mundialmente conocido Town Hall.

Fueron Los unicos ecuatorianos en actuar en el Carnegie hall de Nueva York, y hay que destacar tambien que el duo " Los Galanes" de Nueva York fueron los primeros en la historia musical ecuatoriana en grabar un CD.

Han hecho presentaciones en diferentes festivales en el Canada y Han llevado su musica a diferentes paises del Mundo a saber: Mejico, Puerto Rico, Canada, Peru y en Espana donde recibieron las Llaves de la ciudad de Malaga en la Pena de Alora en 1993.

Esto es a breves rasgos la larga carrera artistica de los Hermanos Proano " LOS GALANES" de Nueva York.
